How it works

Pick only the triggers that matter to you, like red meat, dairy, gelatin, or glycerin.
2. Scan a barcode
Scan barcodes on food, medicine, and the things you put on your skin, like shampoo, lotion, and laundry detergent. Product data comes from Open Food Facts, Open Beauty Facts, Open Products Facts, and openFDA (credits).
3. See what to watch for
Alpha-Gal Wise™ flags ingredients that might be a problem for you and explains why.
Built for the ingredient nobody noticed.
Most allergy apps only look for known triggers. Alpha-Gal Wise™ also checks that it recognizes every ingredient on the label. If even one is unfamiliar, missing, or unreadable, you'll see Check, not a pass. Hard-to-pin-down ingredients like natural flavors and glycerin get a Check too. A product only clears when the full list is there and every ingredient is accounted for. Always confirm on the package.
Why we built it
We built it because my wife has alpha-gal syndrome. We live in rural Oklahoma, where lone star ticks are everywhere, and her list of reactions has grown from beef to all red meat, dairy, and everyday household products. We needed a faster way to read labels, so we made one.
